For generations, Australian farmland has been inaccessible to ordinary investors. We set out to change that β making co-ownership of premium agricultural properties simple, transparent, and rewarding.
Founded 2018
James Hartley spent 25 years running cattle stations across Queensland and New South Wales. He understood β better than most β the extraordinary wealth-building potential locked inside Australian agricultural land. What frustrated him was simpler: only the very wealthy could access it.
In 2017, James partnered with Sophie Anderson, an agricultural finance specialist from Macquarie Bank who shared his frustration. Together they asked a straightforward question: why can't everyday Australians co-own a working farm the same way they own shares in a company?
The answer was that no credible, transparent platform existed to make it happen. So they built one. Aussie Prime Farms was incorporated in Brisbane in 2018 with a clear mandate β democratise access to Australian farmland investment without compromising on quality, transparency, or returns.
Today, we manage over $240 million in agricultural assets across 18 properties nationally, with more than 847 co-investors earning quarterly distributions from some of Australia's most productive farmland.
